Great work! Everyone was really in character. I'm honestly surprised there aren't more fics where Yuffie figures out that the SOLDIER she met in Wutai was Zack; this was fun to read. The sentence "Either you tell me what or I put frogs in your bed" was great. And Cloud, although I'm sure he's hard to write, was very believable.

Haha, actually, there are missions you can go on in Crisis Core where she pretends to be the 'Treasure Princess' and basically has Zack kill monsters for her and then she takes the treasure just as he's about to get it. There's also follow-up from that whole stream of things with 'anonymous senders' which are obviously Yuffie, though I've only gotten up to the second level.

i read this a while ago but i only reviewed now. chapter 2 was better than chapter 1 to me actually. im sure the characters do talk about zack and im sure eventually they all will realise that they've met zack before. this chapter is a good idea of how yuffie and cloud might actually talk about zack.

This was wonderful, I love this song to death, and the way you wrote this is so complete. To it I was surprised, when I first saw Yuffie in Crisis Core as a little girl. She was kind of annorying but she got better as she got older. Anyway great job, and keep writting you've got a talent there.

This seemingly innocuous little bit of fiction almost made me start wailing like a baby. It was quite beautiful when you get down to the deep stuff. I mean really, very enjoyable. And oh so sad. But excellent! XD

I really like this, especially idea that Zack has a kind-of tentative existence, based on fragile memories that only Cloud has rather than the more concrete memories of Aerith that they all have. There's a line somewhere (advent children?) where Zack tells Cloud, "You are the proof that I existed." I think that ties in really well with this.

"Zack was big on keeping precious things safe while he walked into the line of fire."

This line brought finally lured out the tears in my eyes. Thank you for giving Zack the shortest yet most accurate description I have ever see. 3

Lol aw man I love Yuffie for that. I half-expected Cloud to go nuts and hug her silly for letting him know that he's not the only one that remembers Zack.
