Wow, just wow. Your story just blew me away. The mood you've created was almost physically tangible.

I thought it was absolutely beautiful. The emotions, the descriptions, the way the team was. I can imagine this happening as easily as anything.

The poignancy of this story had me holding back the tears and catching my breath, yet as painful as the subject was, I was mesmerised by the flow of this truly beautifully written story. Each moment was captured to perfection, nothing lost, not one word wasted.

Reading a "Sunday" story always make me cry. I like your story. Sad but still riveting. That first week after a death is the hardest, followed by the year in which you experiance first times without them. That was how it was with my mum, sadness but also anger that they didn't try hard enough to save her. Sad sad memories. I do have one critisim though, if you plan to write more thoughtfully, sad but delightful stories like this, provide tissues. Thank you.

Well written and an interesting POV on an emotive topic.

JS was the most rounded character as it was his POV. Perhaps a switch to Derek's would have provided extra insight.

Although I thought it was good, to improve it even more, I would recommend editing and reviewing the structure. It seemed to end a bit abruptly without any sense of resolution. That is not necessarily an issue but with your story I felt that you just stopped. Organic is good but structure is also useful.
