Reviews for The Lady and the Knight
Margot Grazyna chapter 1 . 6/8
Opowieść zaczęła się intrygująco, nieznane wątki, czytam z przyjemnością
Anna-Maud chapter 19 . 12/15/2019
That was really impressive. It was quite difficult to keep up with Sarah as she starts this story being rather smart and magically experienced, what left me without possibility to progress with her throughout all the events. Anyway, she is not stupid and not a drama queen. I liked the way your Jareth was inhuman. Your writing style, I physically was in pain when Marcus exposed Sarah's betrayal, and then Jareth's "Your best is done", then Sarah's crying on the dock- my heart was jumpong out of my chest. I'm very grateful for Your work.
Wolvie26 chapter 19 . 12/2/2019
Love it!
Wolvie26 chapter 9 . 12/2/2019
I had to stop and comment about the my kingdom for a horse comment as the only time I have ever heard it was in robin hood men in tights and it made me laugh. If you haven't seen that movie go watch it. It's a Mel Brooks film and I found it hilarious.
Keritiger chapter 19 . 10/21/2019
Wow! You’re such a talented author with a real talent for action, adventure, and romance. This story was so great and I’d almost think of it as a Cthulhu verse crossover. You write so evocatively I was flashing back to other Lovecraft stories I’ve read before. Well done!
wuthermyheights chapter 19 . 10/20/2019

DreamingofEire chapter 19 . 10/11/2019
Good god. That was amazing. I have gotten nothing of use done for the past several hours and devoured this. Your imagery is stunning.
BowieQueen chapter 19 . 8/29/2019
Oh my goodness! This gave me the tingles and the shivers. Chills! I LOVED your Jareth. Thank you for writing this. Thank you so much. I really enjoyed it. I loved that Sarah was resourceful and had lived a full life before going back to Jareth :D
CuriousCrumb chapter 1 . 5/2/2019
Poor Marcusthe last of his kind. I wish someone would clone that glorious tree for him.
Limn chapter 18 . 3/7/2019
This story is perfect. Thank you so much for writing it.
Limn chapter 16 . 3/7/2019
This was delightful and the best smut I've read in years *-*
Limn chapter 11 . 3/5/2019
I am loving this story. How strong and adventurous Sarah is, a stubbornness that doesn't border on idiotic but a courage that's willing to pay the price. How Sarah actually kept up with her friends, I'm always happy to see that friendship utilized and spoken on. I am also, very happy to see a love so pure and devoted as the one you've put into the Goblin King. I adore what I'm reading. It makes me feel so bright and good to see my kind of love in the eyes and actions of someone else. Blissful.
Mistress Charon chapter 19 . 12/31/2018
I really liked this story, I love your writing style, the imagery and prose are very well done. I especially loved the lore of your story, a lot was said with implications and not exposition.
Thank you for writing this, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. :)
Ebony-Dove chapter 16 . 7/22/2018
I really like how you address Sarah's particular brand of cruelty here a Jareth of course is a darling.
Raptured Night chapter 19 . 6/24/2018
You write with such a distinctive and unique voice and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. There are plenty of authors out there who have managed to cultivate their own style (which does require a lot of effort and skill) but I've found that having a "voice" as an author is more a matter of instinct. It's no easy feat and much harder to learn than even the technical skills of the craft.

Your take on Sarah ranks among one of my favorite to date. No longer the hapless damsel, she's taken her life by the reigns and truly lived after her experiences in the Labyrinth and it's just so exciting to read her like that. I always have struggled with the conception of Sarah as someone who would have gone on to lead an unfulfilling life, even if I can understand the narrative purpose of it pushing her back to Jareth and his Labyrinth.

Which brings me to Jareth. I'll confess right now, I love when an author is able to capture his vulnerability. He is a dynamic character and quite mercurial but there was far more vulnerability there than I believe is sometimes acknowledged. You found a balance between Jareth the Goblin King and Jareth who pledge to make a slave of himself to a young Sarah if she would only accept her dreams from him.

This story has spoiled me for good Labyrinth fic for a while. It joins another favorite author of mine as being the gold-standard for Labyrinth stories. It's safe to say that this is one that will stick with me for a while, so thank you for gifting us with such a wonderful story. I'm currently debating if I want to continue riding the high of this ending or read what you have up of the sequel. Either way, I'm certainly glad to have found this masterpiece of fanfiction.
