Story is good but the harem shit ruins it. Harem is nothing else but seeing someone as a trophy and trying to get it.

Second time reading this and I still love this chapter.

All the action scenes are so so good and James beating Chess. Good good stuff.

I'd also like to congratulate you knowing James' character so well that you called the fact the he would fight other pokemon himself in defense on his own years before the anime did the same in show. Like. Good call there.

Gosh. I feel like I could go on and on about how much I love this fic and chapter. You have a really good writing style and I love the pacing for your action scenes

It's got everything I could ever want in a fic, James being the star and (while not really showing off his smarts) fighting to do the right thing and being clever and aah. Good Stuff friend.

I love the more serious tone you have going and the more in depth world building and the lil bit of lore you've started putting in.

Like the Aura thing. Personally I find it ironic (in a good way) that Ash and James are both apparently decended from Aura Users/Guardians (boy howdy will /that/ be a fun realization for James)

One thought going through my mind reading the past few chapters is if the Lt Gyarados was actually James' from way back when (but he can't be that unlucky can he?)

And then my last comment is that I love how things jump around to different characters and all the building drama (and the main anime cast getting along and even though they still react to the serious stuff accordingly, I do enjoy the lighter comedy bits; especially as things get darker for James and everyone one else)

I'm happy to have come across this fic and gotten as far as it is. And even if it never updates again, I'm happy for the four hours reading this and the probable countless hours rereading it whenever I a good James fic to read.

I love fanfics that feature James as the protagonist like this! He really is an amazing trainer but doesn't get a chance to shine all that often. I really think you've written James' character really well, and him defeating Sabrina and Erika was awesome as well! I also got the gunblade reference - Squall from Final Fantasy 8. Please continue this one day!
(Also, I'm gonna guess that the Lieutenant Gyarados is the one James bought as a Magikarp on the S. S. Anne and kicked where it then evolved into a Gyarados~)

This is by FAR one of my favorite Pokemon stories to date! Your writing is great and I love the plot so far. Shame it hasn't updated in over four years, but oh well...*sigh* it is still really good though. I shall continue to hold some hope that you'll come back to this story and update it eventually. Until then, I shall reread it a several more times...again...

You know with so much money in James's Pokemon account, theoretically he can just bypass the second Gym battle entirely and just out-right buy the train pass lol. Course that wouldn't be much of a story.

Found this story again finally, didn't realize you retitled it. I knew it used to be called Journey of a Thousand James lol. I hope you continue it at some point I'm looking forward to what happens next.
