I just came here to read a simple M rated fic about B...ended with one of the best death note fanfics I've read. Delightful.

I think L was a possible monster in this. L even describes himself as a monster during the Relight version of Death Note. He sort of brought his own demise by leading B down that way, letting B believe that L felt something to him.
Though B is not out of blame. B is also a monster in this which is why I think L mentioned that if he came face-to-face with a "lying monster" he would surely be devoured. That, or L meant Kira. Or maybe both. But you have to think that at the time, L knew not of Kira because Kira had not come to place yet. L knew that if he surely came face-to-face with B, he would be "devoured". Maybe that word had several meanings. I like to think of it as 'devoured' being where B takes everything of L's; becomes L even. Which is why I think your story is the best describing their relationship. And everything fit together well. I like how Light's and B's death was like the end of Sherlock. Light and B were true enemies, L wasn't the Sherlock everyone thought. Light and B both technically threw themselves off the cliff to prevent each other from living. L was simply a factor in the way from that happening. Remove the factor and the story continues. And I hate how I am thinking of L as a mere factor. He was much more than that. I don't exactly know what to label him as. He was in the way of the end but also a big part of it. He drew it all together.
It is also almost poetic, in my opinion, how L died. Falling from a window...though I wish you would have more elaborated on his thoughts and whatnot. Like something simple even would have worked. A 'sorry' maybe? A unpleasant feeling? A feeling of relief? There could have been several different thoughts running through his mind. I never would have guessed that it was B from the beginning though; that was clever. And how Light noticed that only merely by the 'L'. I have to wonder though: what if Light hadn't noticed the L? What if he hadn't slept with 'L'?
Kudos to you for such a great fanfic and I hope the above makes sense! I am writing this review while I am sick so I can't guaruntee that everything makes sense outside of my fever-muddled mind. But re-reading this review, I see not unclearities. I hope it's the same for you.

I just love the way you write Beyond Birthday. Amazing job as always.

This was a really great story. Initially I was a little weary about the rape scene cause most people either take it too far or make it seem more like consensual sex then anything, but it was actually all really well written and it helped to make everything fit and flow better. Totally glad I read this.

I love how absolutely twisted this is, and I adore the way you portrayed L and B. I've been having a rather difficult time finding well-written BB stories, so I'm glad that I found this story. Truly amazing. I hope you have more fanfics, because I intend to read more from you.

This was a very interesting read, although when Light was looking for something to write with, I wondered what happened to the needle he kept in his watch for these occassions. Well, no matter, the characterizations were poignant and well written; I finished this story in a night. :)

You know, sometimes, I scare myself. Like predicting the outcome from the start. Or seeing so much of myself in B...I could very easily become JUST that obsessed with L. Carving his letter in my arm, imitating/dressing like him, being mentally unstable, refusing to accept the fact that he doesn't exist in my world, that he's gone, that he will never acknowledge me...I really think I need help. :P but I DID see where the fic was going before I ever read chapter 6 or 7... I always did wonder, just HOW smart were L and Light compared to the real-life organizations and so... And is it wrong to admit a secret tempting to commit a series of murders just to see if they could catch me? (I don't think they could, honestly; or maybe I've just been watching WAY too much Death Note recently)

:P I don't suppose I should say at this point that I had already caught on to "L" being B...But wouldn't Light, being the incredible genius he is, have figured it out already? And for the record, I'm going to keep reading now, and if L is truly dead... then ah screw B and Kira, let them kill each other.

This is one of the few L and B fanfictions that are actually well-written with little to no grammatical or spelling errors. I really enjoyed it.

...I adore the way you wrote B for this. Really, really loved it. Not sure I liked the ending with all three of them dying, but it was...weirdly appropriate. XD The 6th chapter is probably my favourite, because of the way you wrote L and B's interactions. B somehow reminds me of a character from Enduring Love called Jed...have you ever read that?

Anyway, amazing job with this fanfic, I loved reading it.
