Medilia chapter 20 . 2/3/2013 This story was absolutely amazing! Exactly what I was looking for when I wanted it! |
Nearing Midnight chapter 20 . 1/22/2013 *standing ovation* This was one of the most excellently written stories I have ever read. Definitely deserves at least a place on my favorites list. ;) |
IreneHolmes chapter 20 . 10/24/2011 ... Elbereth's flame. This was a monumental task, and yet you achieved it and passed with full marks. I read this in one day - couldn't put it down. Thank you for letting me in on this adventure. |
Speaker-to-Customers chapter 20 . 9/21/2011 I'd read this story before, on a site where only members can leave reviews, and I'm delighted to find it here so that I can tell you how much I enjoyed it. Truly excellent. |
Bill the pony chapter 20 . 12/11/2010 Hi, I just wanted to leave a quick message saying how much I loved your story. It's so refreshing to see an author who doesn't portray legolas as superman or gimli as his dopey sidekick. I thought you o/c orcs were very good as well and the way the story linked back to the canon version was excellent. Keep on writing! |
fyudv56t779on78556e4x4e chapter 1 . 10/16/2010 I really like it. Just the story I was looking to read. |
Tola Burke chapter 20 . 5/26/2010 An excellent story altogether. Some things better, some things worse. I'd have been interested in seeing this followed through with to the end. What must Gondor be thinking, seeing a bunch of the Enemy's forces turning for Rohan? And Denethor has seen a Hobbit in his Palantir that he likely imagined was Sauron-Only. He'd be really worried about that prophecy now. Especially since Aragorn has delared himself(Though not willingly), and you know Sauron would hold that on Denethor. I wonder what it'd all lead to? |
BelleCelestyn chapter 20 . 5/3/2009 i really liked the story until you brought Eowyn into the image. Legolas seemed to have changed almost immediately when one looks at his actions; with Gandalf and Gimli, he seemed reserved in nature, but once he met Eowyn he became almost boyish... I don't know about you but it seemed to me that you tried to make a romance story out of this... and it was such a great story in the beginning. I can't help but say that the introduction of Eowyn into the picture disappointed me terribly. |
the black leopard chapter 20 . 10/14/2008 This story is wonderful. I enjoyed reading every minute of it, and absolutely will return to read it numerous times. Thank you for writing this in a way that is Tolkien-esque, and is also completely believable. Excellent. |
Galinda-girl chapter 19 . 10/4/2008 Oh! There's seriously only one more chapter left! I am gonna cry and scream and read this over and over it was so good! Congrats on making me cry again. Great character development w/ Legolas btw, the best story I have ever read on fanfiction. OMG I will just die when this story is over. PST... Will there be a sequel by any chance? |
StarLight9 chapter 20 . 10/2/2008 It's sad that such a wonderful tale has come to an end. I enjoyed this a lot, thank you so much for writing it! And I just love your hobbits! How uncivilized of the Big Folk not to smoke pipeweed! |
vectis chapter 20 . 9/24/2008 Thank you! This was such an exciting and enjoyable, if somewhat harrowing in parts, story to read and I thought the way you managed to set-up each character to follow their original story-line at the end very well done. Sorry that I missed reviewing a few of the previous chapters - but there was a problem with my emails and I did not see the story alerts until today. |
Firefly-ish chapter 20 . 9/23/2008 *pouts* its over... Nice ending, leaving Aragorn brooding a little more, meaning there MIGHT be a sequel? ) Love Legolas line "I am more than my weapon" when hes talking to Éowyn, by the way! |
J.S. Mews chapter 20 . 9/23/2008 This was a fantastic story! I really loved how you managed to weave Saruman into the mix and then straighten everything out so the story would go on as originally written. Congratulations on writing a great story! |
