*gasps and clenches chest* OMG! That was so...wow. Heartbreaking. And just wow. I totally felt for Renji...his emotions were just so...vivd. You portrayed him perfectly! And the end was just like "holy crap omg" with Byakuya feeling pity for Renji and omg. Now I'm torn between the two pairings! I totally loved this fic! Great work!

I swear, I'm gonna check out all your Bleach fics...eventually. I still have alot of the series to watch, so I'm pacing myself with the fanfics. But you are definitely on my list of authors to read fics from!

I very much enjoyed this character study and its prequel. They connected well, and I could get a sense for both Renji's and Byakuya's feelings. I do not doubt for a moment that Ichigo is oblivious; he always has been. Good work here.

Well, well, well that was certainly interesting...Renji jealous and somewhat bitter, maybe I should get my head examined or something but I really really like seeing him this way.

Once again, your words blow me away with their understanding and depth. You so easily convey the human condition, and the pain that Renji is feeling.

I love every line. I really do. So much truth put across so gracefully. But the best line for me, for its originality, simile and affecting imagery is:

'Too much like looking at the sun, blinding with his radiance.'

This is the kind of fic I want to embrace ... but I'll just have to make do with 'favourites'

I've always seen fics where Byakuya comes between or is jealous of Renji & Ichigo, but never have I seen Renji as the one on the sidelines, something that I have wanted so desperately to see done. Props to you for making it happen, and so well written too!

I love how Renji interprets Byakuya's grief over causing Renji, his trusted subordinate, pain by being with the person he [Byakuaya] loves as "almost-pity". Well done. We can see very clearly how Renji's jealousy is already beginning to warp his perception. He doesn't stop to wonder at the pain that his inability to move might be causing his captain, since clearly Byakuya loves Ichigo and he does respect Renji as well. Instead he interprets it as almost pity, and no doubt, will eventually see it just out and out pity or maybe smugness down the road.

Oh, so sad but at the same time so cute and cool. Beautifully written as usual Azar-sama, I should have my Bya/Ichi out later tonight. It will be called Shiro Tenshi. Like I said I so loved it!
