First of all, I'm glad to see that this story hasn't been abandoned. And yeah, real life can come at you in the least wanted of ways.

I was surprised that you decided to skip Jet Alone, but then again, seeing how upset Shinji became during that mess, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him hulk out right then and there. Which would have been a disaster in more ways than one.

I really did enjoy it when Shinji/Hulk showed up Asuka when it comes to Angel-killing. And her arrogance about how easy it will be for her to kill all the Angels all by herself was well in keeping with her overblown ego. Just one of the many reasons why I truly hate the Red Devil.

Still, I would have loved to have seen some reaction shots from Toji and Kensuke while all this was going on, and I think Asuka took Shinji's transformation way too calmly. To be honest, I would have expected him to do something awful to her as a result of his sudden rage.

Overall, however, this was a good chapter. Still, when the next one rolls around, I'd expect to see Misato truly upset and broken up over what's happened to Shinji. And he'll probably be interred within the depth of NERV, just to keep him from rampaging all over creation.

Man, I can already see Gendo scheming a big one here. Is it too much to hope that he'll do something to upset his gamma-mutated son?
