Interesting... I think.

Truly, I didn't really notice that Sai had come back, and merely thought that Hikaru was looking where Sai would usually have been and seeing only empty space. Would have been sad, but I like that Sai returned. It was really unexpected, and I love Sai.

One thing that really bothered me was the question of the whereabouts of his parents. Were they away at this time? It's been so long that I don't remember, but surely there would be some kind of phone call from them?

The attempted suicide bothered me a bit too, but it was certainly a unique way to get Sai back in terms of what I've read before. What I actually liked about it is that you didn't dwell too long on the angsty stuff and you made Hikaru get over this quite quickly. I felt that was a good attitude and that it really rang true, if you see what I mean.

Anyway, this isn't bad, and if you ever feel like continuing it, hopefully I'll be able to read what you've written. It'd be nice to see a longer chapter where you could truly demonstrate your skills, as I can tell that you are good writer.

Finally, I need to ask your permission to do something... I've had the second chapter planned out for my new story for months, but it's also called "Near Misses". Do you mind if I still use that title?
