Okay, so, back in... 2010 ish? Middle school? I guess after reading the Host I really liked it and found a Host fanfic archive? But I didn't know what fanfiction was? Anyways I bookmarked it on a computer I had built myself and then I guess I stopped using the computer.

Years later, after finding out about fanfiction and reading mostly drabbles on here and then AO3, and then starting to read longer fics, I rebooted that old computer and was looking through the bookmarks. I had completely forgotten about that archive until I saw the bookmark and it was a sudden rush of memories. Unfortunately that archive had been taken down but somehow in that rush of memories was your handle. I can't remember if I read any other fic on that archive, but googling Warui Usagi brought up this account. It made me happy that this still existed but I didn't reread it then.

That was years ago and now, years later, in quarantine, remembering absolutely nothing about the book except for alien possession and silver eyes, I decided to read this fic again (and read the new stuff although my memory is terrible so I have absolutely no idea how far I had read before). I absolutely love Wanda and Mel's relationship. The chapter from Mel's perspective was such a treat. I am quite worried about Ian and the rash decisions he made and wherever he might be now. And I just want Jamie to be happy, which I think Wanda and I have in common.

Reading this was a delightful way to spend this evening. Thank you. 3

This is without a doubt ONE OF THE BEST STORIES I HAVE READ. The narration rhythm and the narration itself are very well made and structured, it flows naturally and needless to say, the characters. Absolutely well done. Very faithful to the book but at the same time with greater realism. In fact, this story gave me a much broader vision of the way of thinking of Souls and their society as well as another example of how far we humans can go, especially when our survival and that of others is at risk. I wish I had more and better words to describe this story but I am sincere in saying that it is like a buried piece of gold. I am looking forward to the next chapter ️

Okay I see that it’s been almost 5 years since you last updated. But if this somehow appears in your email notifications, please update! I just read all of it and I am amazed at how well you’ve depicted the characters. And the plot...please don’t leave the readers on that kind of cliffhanger!

Please finish this book! Or at least post your ending chapters you've already written :). This is one of the best Host fics I've read. The characters are actually completely accurate and within their personalities, which I love. Don't leave us hanging!

Ive been reading "The Host" fanfics all day and this is one the best ones ive read. As soon as i got to the end (ch 11) and found that this fic had not been update since 2013 i was devastated! Ohmigosh please write more please soon! Im absolutely in love!

I love this story. It was a great idea. You should try and do something threw Ian's point of veiw.
But I hope you keep going and you update SOON.

Omg seriously I agree with everything you said. I have the Shatter Me trilogy on my special shelf :) but oh my god, I went through this phase where I just had to reread The Host because it is the only book that I can read that makes me happy just reading it. And I waited years for that movie and they had so so SO much amazing source material and amazing actors, and they fricken botched it. Ugh don't even get me started. Any way, I like this :)
