Dear author, wow... this was certainly difficult to read at times but I love love LOVE how raw and exposed this was. I appreciate the realism in this piece so much - and how the story considers all the ways Sasuke must have been confused and broken and tired and grieving had he returned to Konoha the way he did. I really love how all of the characters were written, but especially Sakura. because I imagine that realistically - there was no way she could have welcomed him home with open arms like Naruto. And Sasuke's breakdown was gutting but so incredible to read. His monologue in the garden of his compound how he railed against his brother was extraordinary. Thank you so much for writing and sharing this gorgeous one-shot with us!

May I just say that your writing is exquisite. Truly exquisite. I first stumbled across your work whilst flitting through the Zutara feed, the first notable work that caught my attention being Koh's Reckoning, and bit by bit, I have been looking over the rest of your work with gaping incredulity. Your prose is among the most captivating of that which I have ever had the pleasure of reading. This is one of your older works, but God above, it may as well have been written yesterday, because it is just as good as any of the new stuff that you've posted. I am ceaselessly amazed. I like that Sasuke feels remorse for his actions here. that Sakura affects him so much

It was beautiful, that scene with the cherry blossoms. beautiful almost tragic

I'm glad he was saved. the kid has gotten enough bad luck and deserves a good life.
