The confessional scene had me laughing til I cried!

Wow! I loved it! Excellent job! I especially loved the scene with Leonardo da Vinci pretending to be a priest in the confessional.

Wow! What Leonardo said about Danielle really being given away by her father and he was just acting on his behalf, was amazing!

Very well written! Such a beautiful story with moments that literally sent chills down my spine as they were so powerfully written. Keep up the excellent work!

i have to admit i was a little nervy when i first started reading this. i've read some appalling ever after fic over the last 48 hours. but i really enjoyed this. it was nice seeing the familiar scenes from another character's pov, especially jacqueline, and also to see what might have happened between those scenes. i'm looking forward to being able to read the sequel starting tomorrow. thanks for making my nerves disappear quickly, it was a lovely read.

My previous review was rather general, and didn't go into the reasons why I liked the story so much, so I decided to leave another one. You seem to have a good grasp of the world that the story takes place in. As they say, the devil's in the details, and you include plenty of details that bring the setting to life. The other point I wanted to bring up was about Jacqueline's trial. Even though I had seen how the movie ended, and therefore knew that everything would work out, I was still felt gunuine anxiety over the proceedings. To be able to build up suspense when everyone already knows how the story will resolve itself is a sign of a truly gifted writer.

Simply wonderful! I always questioned the time between Danielle's sale and the end of the movie. This has really satisfied me. I love the humor and the irony. I think it follows the movie very very well. Being an equestrian, I was very content to see certain details used correctly (sensing nervousness, pulling the reins out of the rider's hands, saying grey and not white). You certainly have a knack for light, airy, enjoyable tales! Keep it up!
