liked this chapter. chelsea watching reid sleep was a nice moment. :)

I would've like to see reid have a harder time with that conversation with his father. His dad just confirmed that he cheated on his mom, and that he left b/c of it. Justseems like he'd be more emotional about htat. If not in the moment, then perhaps a scene afterwards where he allows himseld to reflect on that anger and whatever else.

I like that Chelsea is worrying about something like insurance - that feels really realistic to me in this situation.

The POV switch at the end was pretty jarring though. Who is "I" - I hope it's not another OC...

I'm a little surprised Chelsea isn't more concerned about her parents being nearly dead, but maybe it hasn't sunk in yet. I love your introduction of her though. Not overwhelming like so many OCs, and I like that there hasn't been a physical description. Poor Reid for the thing about his dad leaving when Chelsea was born. An affair maybe? Hopefully we'll find out later
