I've just power read through this story so I'm not exactly at max capacity to say words (I needed to go to bed like seven hours ago) but I wanted to let you know how much I love your story! It's good! I can't really articulate my favorite parts but really all of it is amazing. Wonderful job!
Chris Widger chapter 60 . 3/16/2019
Seaaon 6 rewrites with Faith are some of my favorite Buffy stories, but I have to aay none of them have quite reckoned with not just the events from canon, but the emotions and dysfunction behind them, whioe still managing to fix it. Because while season 6 took everything to a new level, all the seeds of comflict - Willow's magic abuse, Buffy's depression and lack of purpose, Xander and Anya not being on the same page, Dawn's abandonment issues, Giles feeling unnecessary, Spike's deeply unhealthy love of Buffy - were all there in season's 4 and 5. And you reckoned with that in a way that did them justice while also making a frankly better story.

Awesome fic; much better than Joss's season 6 rollercoaster. Loved the Buffy and Faith characterizations and dynamic. Didn't like Willow, but you did a great job keeping her in-character. Plus, go Little D!

Awesome :-D

And because I forgot to mention it before, good job with both Dawn and Giles. Both characters thrived under your touch, and I found myself neither feeling sorry for nor being annoyed by the former, which is quite a feat and one the show failed at miserably if an attempt was even made.

Aces all around!

Ugh. Willow...

Anyway, we're near the end here and finally, a quibble amongst the gushing praise. With *everything* going on AND the physical and emotional meat grinder they've both just been put through AND the knowledge that Willow, bitchy as she is here, is out there both hurting in her ignorance and possible destroying the earth, the existence and tone of that last bit of Fuffy seemed both out of place and callous.

I mean, I know they need to reconnect but take a nap first? Check in with Giles to make sure he knows you're okay? Make sure poor Xander is okay? Call the hospital to see if Tara's okay? A lot *just* happened.

That being said, I've read this before and I'm still sad that it's almost over. Are you still out there writing somewhere? God, I sure hope so.

Poor Mr. Gordo :'-(
crisangel chapter 49 . 11/12/2013
I know it's firmly part of their sexy-time repertoire at this point, but you'd think Buffy would be a little reluctant (or full, even) to chomp down on Faith again so soon. Really, she's getting just a bit greedy...
crisangel chapter 47 . 11/12/2013
So vivid and intense. Just brutal... in the best possible way.
crisangel chapter 45 . 11/12/2013
That whole conversation with Xander was made of so much win it's unreal. That's the core Scooby lovability that was seriously lacking in the last couple of seasons, and how wonderful it is to see it directed at Faith.
crisangel chapter 44 . 11/12/2013
I know it was probably hard for them to bring it up immediately but I'm really glad the Katrina story came out almost right away and that Giles appreciated Faith's internal struggle. Willow is... well, her bordering-awful season 6 version of herself, and throwing it in her face when the wound was obviously still fresh was a bit over the line, but not exactly out of character with her constant self-righteous addict justifications.

Also, poor Buffy. Normal Again was always the biggest head fuck...
