Like Jimmy, I too am glad to see that Cora is feeling better, but I have to say I'm a bit surprised that Englehorn actually confessed his feelings for Cora. Judging from how he acted in the previous chapters, I thought he would have been a little more hesitant to do so.

But it appears to be a good thing he told the truth, as after all, Cora seems to like him as well. The only bad part is I don't think Bruce Baxter will be that happy when he hears about it. Hopefully, he won't do anything rash in some desperate attempt to keep Cora.

Well, it was a bit of a letdown that the swamp-crossing sequence from the extended edition wasn't present here, because that's one of the scenes I like the most in the original movie. But that doesn't meant the chapter wasn't enjoyable anyway.

I'm amazed that Cora heard Ann's calls and actually managed to catch a glimpse of her, though. I thought she'd be too busy with trying to hold on for dear life, just like everyone else.

I thought she would climb Jack's side of the canyon and go to look for Ann with him... but apparently, it's a good thing she didn't do so, as she probably wouldn't have lasted long.

And it seems Englehorn is starting to be more open about his feelings. Now the only question is if Cora will ever feel the same way.

Well, it seems Cora and Bruce finally came to their first big obstacle in their relationship. Or, more accurately, that Cora is finally getting a better idea of the sort of person that Bruce is.

She's also showing that she's brave and loyal to her sister, though, considering how she is willing to keep going in spite of how bleak the chances look.

I wonder what path the situation will take once we get to the pit.

That was a bit of a short chapter, but it was enjoyable nevertheless. Although Cora clearly did not enjoy seeing Ann's necklace out there. But at least, she still has some hope about finding her alive... and maybe she actually will, depending on how things turn out at the gorge. I'm not sure.

Wonder how she'd react to the stampede.

Would be nice if she somehow was there to see Kong protect Ann from the .. thus seeing how he is no monster. It would also be good if she, like Ann, liked Kong. Instead of freaking out at the bones, she'd realise that they were what's left of Kong's family and feel sorry for the lonely ape.
