Nooooo! He killed it? Grrr I can only hope Caleb lied but he has no reason to do so. Well, I suppose it's true to character. Anyway, loved this, especially the Dean and Sam moments. I'm a middle child and struggling to lose my nickname, so I feel for Sam! Also protective of my younger siblings but I've never experienced the level of commitment the boys have.

Hi there! I'm hooked on all your stories and I'm slowly making my way through all of them. I just wanted to tell you that you write the brother relationship beautifully. The amount on guilt and redemption and anger and frustration that goes into communicating with a sibling (as a younger sister, boy do I understand this) is articulated wonderfully in all your stories, but this one especially. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Hi! I've read this one a while ago, turns out I never posted a review, so I'm making up for that now! This is amazing, well-plotted and very well-written. Teenagers are pretty hard to write, but your Sam and Dean are great, as well as John, who is often mostly mistreated as a drill-sergeant, stubborn and imperceptive *insert insult word of choice here*. Some just tend to forget that he is a father as much as a hunter and that he cares about his sons. So I'm glad you got him right! :) And I love the touch of humour and unusual creatures!

Oh dear God that was a depressing amount of insight from John about Dean. Probably depressing because I agree, but still. :( Nice story, I'll keep reading :)

Coming to this story late, but I really enjoyed it. The plot is so different from many of the stories here and you write very well.
