What a wonderful diverging path I walked upon. I'm glad I finally got around to reading this one.

So a long LONG time ago I found this fic back when it had...3 chapters?

I read that and then didn't continue. So I found this thing again and swore to read it start to finish.

And man was it good. I like the whole romance and I think that you diverted from canon in a believable way. I do think that some characters acted in a notable OoC way, SEELE in particular, but otherwise, I was pleased to see them.

The only real criticism that I can say is that all the implications of Misato feeling an attraction to Shinji could have been explored more. I mean, Misato/Misao DOES angst about it for a while, but nobody seems to state the obvious creepy thing that, at least in the first stages of the attraction, she is essentially an adult woman attracted to a minor.

That aside, this was a very enjoyable read from start to finish. Brought good memories back.

Stealing the whole 'Misato has a cousin and they don't get along' thing. I'll just make it so that Nao, the little Misato, hates that her older cousin keeps drawing more male gaze than she does, while Misato sees her lost teen years in Nao.

...Who are Makoto and Aoba again? Wasn't Aoba the adult version of Kensuke, though less geeky? I think the real reason nobody uses them is because you could replace them with nameless nobodies and get the exact same results.

That, and Maya has boobs. And she's a possible lesbian. And cute.

The correct spellings of the three wise men are Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar.

Great ending to a great story!

This was one of the best Evangelion fics I ever read. You made an excellent work developing Shinji and Misato's relationship and their personalities.

It was fun to see poor Maya forced to do Misato's job and the omakes with the perverted Shinji.

I didn't like that some parts were too similar to canon but made sense, the initial change with Misato getting younger and becoming a spare pilot didn't affect things like the power of the Angels or their order but it had a great effect in the long term.
