REALLY like how you got into Mary's head, thinking about how Dean was a surprise, and how she didn't want a helpless baby in the house when her deal came due. Really impressed about how disgusting that kiss with her father was - I thought that, but you're the first one who wrote about it. But the playfulness, and the love with the family - the gentle reveal of a new baby ... and her praying that her family wouldn't pay. Wouldn't be harmed. Except... demons lie. EXCELLENT. Thank you.

Wonderfully and evocatively written. I like how you captured Mary's anxiety about the demon's 'promise' and how John's kiss while she was feeling ill was compared to the kiss her 'father' gave her when she made that deal with the devil.

Such a slice of life and a great look inside Mary's mind and heart.

I really liked the characterisations of Mary, John and Dean in this. The "In the Beginning" ep showed a whole new side to Mary and this fic of yours dovetails it nicely with later events.

I must admit that I have a soft spot for indulgent father John and Dean reminds me of my three year old niece - particularly the way he called John on things like "he said we shouldn't keep secrets". Yeah, I have soft clever kid Dean.
