Man, I hope to see another update soon. I've never seen a gender bent Inuyasha fanfic (at least one that's never made it this far), so I'm really excited!

chuckle, poor kannon... another things she has to watch out for... if she is so fasinated with guys she can find herself with another type of work... kannon, isha and souta are in some way or other supposed to find a way to help each other to find the pieces of the sacred jewel and fight demons and bad guys while they are doing it. excellent, your introduction and how she explains herself is pretty good... kannon doesnt understand what souta is doing in the ancient era but she doesnt have to... what will happen next, ill see...

ah ha... now i come to the person like miroku... kannon... okay, this young lady(?) is supposed to have a wind tunnel... and yet be a strange monk as well... this is an intriguing way to introduce me to other characters that are in the tales of inuyasha... i know that souta had some shards of the sacred jewel and that kannon has them now... what will happen next? will they meet others in a gender bendered way... i like the bit with kaede... she is a neat character... thank you...

sorry that i did not put more into the last review... the part of my computer that has your storyline on it went belly up and i couldnt figure out where i was.
i guess that inuyasha must have been upset by seeing the resurrected tsuta and gettin a hint into why he killed her. inuyasha did not betray him. that was someone else. great, i found out what really happened back fifty years ago... just bits and pieces but... everything helps...

very good... im so sorry that inuyasha had to see tsuta again alive... souta gets into some serious trouble with the witch; he had tsutas soul apparently in him. souta was tsuta reincarnated. something had to give in this scenario and it happened to be souta.

its okay... every one of us gets a brain fart every now and then... of course it seems to be happening more as the days go by... to me...
well, well, well; so the witch got tsutas bones... inuyasha, kaede and souta are following urasue to get back his bones... how weird that bones of someone retain their mind set or saintliness or something... maybe their essence. very good writing young person, you have the tale down correctly in this chapter...

wow, this is a hoot... who says ladies are the gentler sex... baloney... those two gals are something else... very good, how you have the faceless woman try to get inuyasha absorbed into her... another demon huh... it seems like there is a lot of them in here... thats okay... it seems like souta is just as adventurous as kagome in the non-gender bended one... go for it souta... inuyashas right behind you... i like this one(souta) if only because he seems to be, at times more daring than kagome. i will see how it turns out.

wonderful; so inuyasha has an older sister named sesshoko, pure demon. she wants to know where their fathers grave is. the half-demon has no idea... it does go downhill from there... puzzling how inuyashas mother lives again. i am introduced to a flee named myoga. there are some queries that i have...why is sesshoko asking inuyasha where their dads grave is, why is the half-demons mom there when she died a long time ago and what is it... this woman with no face? very good you make me wish to read more.

well, this is the third or is it fourth demon they came up against... inuyasha got some hairs from yura, who wanted the sacred jewel shards souta had... of course, inuyasha came through the barrier scrolls that grandpa put up... the old man isnt as strong as some monks from inuyashas era. intriguing that the two characters that are gender changed are unique, not because of their gender being changed... i can see a lady inuyasha... i can see a male souta... will the others be changed too... maybe not... great the dialogue, i can see the arguments between them because they are who they are. let me see what is next.

Mary - Ah, well, I'm sorry you were so disappointed! I'm a bit confused by your review, though - you're angry that I didn't switch the genders of some characters, but also that I switched the genders of characters? I'm not understanding why you're upset that I didn't make Kaede, Mrs. Higurashi, and Grandpa the opposite, yet you seem to be upset that Kagome, Inuyasha, and Kikyo have been made into the opposite sex? I'm sorry, I didn't think changing the sex of characters who are barely in the story would be worth it.
And just a quibble, but I didn't make Souta older than Kagome. Souta IS Kagome, I just made the oldest child, now a boy, named Souta, partly out of laziness. I didn't switch the birth order, although I guess I can understand how you'd think that? (And a minor point, but I did not repeat this with Sango and Kohaku later on).

I'm not sure where you got the idea that "yasha MAN" from, either. Usually people are insisting it means "female demon", and of course, that's ALSO wrong. "Yasha" just refers to any sort of demon/spirit, regardless of gender.

I will admit these early chapters are pretty much straight-up transcribing the manga but with pronouns and a few bits of dialogue changed. ' I think the differences shine a bit farther down the road, but of course I know "It gets better later on!" isn't much of a comfort when you're so thoroughly disappointed right from the start. Of course, this chapter is also, what, 7 years old at this point? I certainly hope I've improved a bit since then, but uh... well, I know the story could definitely be better in the "not directly quoting the manga" department, but... Well, it's not like I'm getting paid to do this, I don't honestly care that much.

Thank you for giving the story a chance, anyway. Although, I know as you appear to be logged in as a guest, you'll probably never read this response anyway, but...

And now personally, I could've used with a bit more "constructive" than straight-up criticism, but I think honestly I'm just happy to have a comment that's longer than 3 words for once! But I HAVE been meaning to do some rewrites of these earlier chapters for a while... I probably won't, though.

I'm very disappointed in this so far, I can't bring myself to read more. Kaede should be male for one, Kagome and Souta shouldn't have simply been switched, that's junk. They should live with their father and grandmother, and most importantly, Female Inuyasha, SHOULD MOST CERTAINLY NOT BE CALLED INUYASHA. Inu dog. Yasha MAN...

Not only that, but everything is identical to the anime/animanga aside from Souta being older than Kagome (and taking her place as the holder of the shikon jewel) Kikyo being Tsuta, and Inuyasha being female instead of male.

Very very saddening.

Please take the time to write YOUR OWN story, rather than changing ONE name and changing some gender pronouns and flopping siblings.
