I thought this was a lovely piece of writing, it flowed well and smoothly, and was well structured. Plus I am a sucker for present tense prose. I also liked the characterisations that you created, and that Derek and Mark were friends. I think Alex does have the potential for this softer side, but I thought that you retained enough elements of the character that we see on the show to marry the two. |
