This is excellent, excellent writing. I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more, but Sirius/Marlene is one of those couples for me where I can't pair them with anyone else or I get all bothered...
I'm not flaming though, this is amazing, one of the best stories I've ever read. I think you are one of the few writers on FanFiction who can pull off Sad But Not Ridiculously Angsty. Which is awesome. This should have a lot more reviews...I just want everyone to see it! :) Great job!

it's actually appalling how heartbroken this story made me feel. (in a wonderful way). it's just beautiful. what makes it so heart rending is how wonderfully... restrained your writing is. just the right amount of tragedy, not so much that it pulls you out of the story. not to mention i love reading stories that make me cry (what can i say? i guess i'm just a masochist) :) xox

This was touching, too. I haven't seen many Sirius/Hestia fics around, and the way you wrote this was very very tear-jerking; you brought out all their sufferings in a sublime manner.

Death is a Dementor in reverse, it takes away the misery and leaves everything beautiful. - This left me speechless. You're amazing.

Oh, that was amazing! I loved that Sturgis was Hestia's "one" in a non-romantic way, and the reasons they slept together, and how Hestia can't help Sturgis, and the click of her heels, and her handbag, and how death and lying in her arms are the same to Sirius. Amazing job!

Then she looks three years older... nice way to show that she had more hope when he was in Azkaban then she has in dealing with what he has become upon returning home.

I know I say this almost everytime I read one your stories, but you have an amazing talent for building a character in such a short space of time. We previously had no idea what Hestia could have been like, but you just brought her to life.

Wow, I continue to be amazed by your writing. How do you pull it off? I honestly think I have liked every single one of your stories. This one was very melancholy, and I liked that. I also liked how you didn't try to make it romantic, and for that very reason it was, in a very delicate way, if you know what I mean. I look forward to your next story...
