Such a beautiful fic :3 I rarely read english fics, but Baccano ones are difficult to find if you want some specific pairs, so I tried with yours and I have to said that I loved it.
I think is very difficult to manage a character as Claire because of his proponent personality and his "interior world". Chane was also a challenge with her muteness, but by taking her at the end of the story gave a beautiful sensation :3

Glad you explained the last bit, else I'd be stuck scratching my head and squinting my eyes over why Chane has developed telepathy, lol. I like your writing style, very in-depth, detailed, with interestingly technical analogies. Most of all, it was very Claire. :)
