The voice of Mylandah is just so *there* you read this and can’t think of anyone else. The writing style is just so emotive and compelling that it makes Mylandah’s transition believable while at the same time making us wonder if she changed at all. This is the beset BA fic I have read no doubt the best Mylandah character piece I have come across and I’m not exaggerating the characterisation (I can’t get over it!) and the aching desire Mylandah portrays for Lahrri throughout always drew me back to reading this.

You said that you wanted it to have an open ending and it is. I’m kinda left with a hopeful feeling that Mylandah will get to the satellite but how Lahrri will react just seems a mystery to me. If you ever have thought about continuing this then I beg you to write it down so I can enjoy reading it.

Just a wonderful story overall. You actually restored my faith in fanfic writers.

I'm finally getting around to reviewing my favorite stories! Yay! Battle Athletes is one of my favorite animes and I was so happy to find such a gem among the few stories in the category. 'Pariah' is very thought-out and well-written, and you captured Mylandah's personality quite well. I would only recommend, if you have some spare time, that you re-edit the first couple of chapters now that has progressed somewhat in terms of formatting and text layout. Otherwise, I think that this is a wonderful piece and I do hope you feel the urge to continue writing at some point. _

It's quite interesting that of all the characters of battle athletes one would choose the 'villain' of the series to follow. To be honest though I like that choice. It's not interesting to read a story unless there is uncertainty and challenges for the character to overcome. And what character could have more challenges in their path than the one you choose?

I like how you focus on her emotions during all the events of the story. It's those emotions that make the story come alive.

Anyway I can see it's been a few years since the last update and that there never were very many reviews submitted. But here's another review at least.

oh nice story, very nice. didnt think i would find such a good story in the battle athletes catagory. Although the character u wrote about was my least favorite person, u did put her in a better light. I dono why she didnt try to change her identity sooner, but i guess time makes people forget. I defenatly would love to read a sequal, tell me if ya have any plans to do that.

This was a wonderful fic! Mylandah having to succumb to reality is a very interesting concept! the plot is well paced and well written. and the part about her family is also well thought out. I do hope there is more. although the open end is nice, I do wanna know what happens between her and Lahrri and stuff! but there is only once thing: I didn't think Mylandah would rig the match. She would probably have some sort of faith in Lahrri being the strongest and she must have thought about Lahrri's pride as an athlete. By cheating, it's insulting Lahrri's capabilities and her respect for her rival.

(sob)...this was so touching. I'm glad that you finally decided to update this. I could almost feel sorry for Mylandah. It's great that you've shown a gentle side to Mylandah while still keeping her in character. I also love how you seem to have done your research on France and the French culture. If you should ever decide to continue someday, I'd love to read about Mylandah meeting back one of the University Satellite in the future even if just to apologize for her past actions.

Really great story. There should be more stories about battle atheletes, but theres not :'(...

i haven't seen the OAV, but i was curious about the last two lines...in the TV, they seem to hint at a special relationship between these two, is that implied in this fanfic? (which is really good, BTW...:Þ)
