This was posted almost 10 years ago and you won't see it (in fact no one will but this is for my benefit)
I read the books years ago and just recently went through the hardest college semester I've faced so far. When it was over, I wanted to curl up for days and just do what I used to do when I was younger-lock myself in another world with no deadlines for schoolwork screaming at me. So I picked up the Hunger Games. Now I've reread the series several times, but I'm still longing for closure because of how emotionally raw Mockingjay left me.
So now I've resorted to fanfiction :)
I love this whole idea of Peeta's perspective. Your vocabulary and ability to work the story through him was impressive. However, I don't feel like Gale is cheery at all. Also the book mentions that the baker (Peeta's father) is always very quiet and reserved. I don't think he would have been so excited about, and openly expressing his approval for, Gale like he was in this story. Overall, Peeta's character is well written, but his commentary occasionally sounds nothing like him-like how angry he gets about Gale. Peeta is very good-natured and wants the best for Katniss. While he was jealous of Gale, he knows he is good for her even in the beginning. (This is coming from someone who has studied the characters constantly) but this story definitely helped mend my sad heart over Mockingjay lol.

This was actually really good. Especially considering Catching Fire and Mockingjay hadn't been released at the time. I think you wrote Peeta really good.

Peeta who else? I mean he is so much better then Gale. Gale is weak and selfish. Anyway I really love your one-shot. I was one the edge of my seat and I've already read the book 2 times and seen the movie like 7.
