I had to think about this for awhile, before I developed any commentary. My first reaction was negative, but I didn't have any explanation why. I re-read the entire piece, and I think it's actually rather amazing in it's description of the kind of explosion of memory, sights, and smells that might occur with the last seconds of conscious life. I have a brother who is a high-functioning schizophrenic, and I've had conversations with him that absolutely mirror some of the desparate thoughts expressed here, and yet, at times, his shattered thought process is strikingly, hauntingly beautiful, even achingly poetic. That's what I sense here. I think I'll read it a few more times. I may be better able to express myself afterwards
