Reviews for Widows to the Soul
Darklooshkin chapter 1 . 9/6/2011
This really does set the tone for the birth of Voldemort. You can just imagine what happens in tom's mind after he's torn up his soul and starts to gain a more Lovecraftian viewpoint of what is happening, which gets worse the more horcruxes he makes.

Really well written. No need for a lot of action either, and it does a better job of explaining how Tom feels about Dumbledore than canon ever did. Understated, elegant, fascinating. Please continue with this.

Beautiful!
SomeGuyFawkes chapter 1 . 12/2/2008
I didn't like it but I have never liked that style of writing.

It had little action, little story arc, and entirely too much deluded introspection. The fault may be with the genre and style, then this would be a well-executed example of the type.
madbrad chapter 1 . 12/1/2008
A nice treatment and a reminder of something that I often forget ... that this whole thing started because Riddle was afraid of death and wanted to be immortal. Too many fanfics go down the blood purity road and forget that that was just a front for Riddle ... at least as far as I understand it? Rowling might not have been too clear on that herself.
