There's something always heartbreaking and wonderful about Peter and Wendy, and I love the notion of a reincarnation and Teen!Peter (and Tinkerbell being a fat, ungainly cat was a funny touch.) The story just flows really well.

Peter Pan is, and I think it always will be, one of those stories that I cannot classify as a favorite, because it's so unlike anything else that comparisons are almost wrong. It just have it's own place in my heart, an easy access file for when "horrid" reallity is almost drowning me and I need something, just something to clear my mind and make me feel like I can fly - all it takes is a happy thought.

And I've realized that Peter might have been my first crush, ever.

I've seen comparisons to Wonderland, and while I think it's also a brilliant and fun story, the corners of Alice's mind are far too messy for me. Neverland makes sense.

Lovely story but wouldn't it have been much inclined with the setting if the years you mentioned were a century older. Instead of 1991, it might've been better to put 1891 because of the tone and feel of the story.

Oh man, I have such a thing for modernized children's lit and this is not exception. This is awesome and going on my favourites for sure. This line in particular "Time had been kind to him for the most part (excepting the rather regrettable occasion at which he had died, but Time had been properly horrified and apologetic concerning that event, so it was all good and well again)" made me grin and flail around and just generally marvel at the cleverness of you.

I definitely love this version of Peter Pan. VERY original. I wish you'd continue.
