So of course lets spread this knowledge to power hungry morons who will do anything and exploit anyone for more power.
Why the hell would he tell Sasuke, Sakura and the damn council the history of the Ascendants and Dragons? Is he purposely trying to get Naruto targeted? Not to mention telling the power hungry child Sasuke that Naruto can pass on his power to another.
He has watched this village for years and knows how things work and seen many of the hidden agendas I am sure. It makes no logical sense whatsoever that he would completly expose Naruto like this, he knows Naruto is mentally handicapped and easily manipulated.
