I should read this to my own children, were you to have this published before I had them, alongside that of The Happy Prince.

This is an absolutely beautiful story, it _feels_ like a fairy tale, as if even though you've only written it a few days ago, it's actually been around for ages, just waiting to be told. This is a story that I would read to my children at bedtime. And just for the record, it left me just a little teary eyed, in the same sense as in your story.

Brilliant. You took one of my favorite fairy tales and transformed it in to something beautiful and new, while still maintaining the core of the story.
