The confused setting just keeps getting more confusing- it’s in Japan, and they go to school even at a late teen age, but ninjitsu exists? This could be kind of accepted if they didn’t go on missions- real ones, not D-Ranks. And then some guy with a western name shows up? It’s confusing.

I kinda feel like there should be an Epilog or something... like the story needs a little more into both their recoveries.

The story was fine up until the end. It just really stigmatizes something that is totally normal and healthy for a lot of people.

Regardless of age, there is nothing "insane" about keeping someone to yourself (as long as it's consensual). Itachi may be ill, fine, but in real life, this is perfectly normal and healthy for some people.
