This has got to be one of the best things I've read.I read it at 5:30 in the morning while are work, and I was bored. It had alot of emotional feeling in it, and that's what I like.

I liked it.

I was never too keen on oneshots, but I enjoyed this one.

Currently, I'm writing a complete back-story of James McCloud, the Star Fox Team, and the events leading up to StarFox64. I's long, complex, and wonderfully in-depth so far, and only becoming more-so as more chapters are added.

This, what you have here, is something I cannot write for the life of me. What you've said in less than 20 words would have taken me ten times more, at least. Where you simply imply a story, I would have told the whole thing, start to finish.

That's my compliment to you. keep it well, because there are only a precious few who've rightfully earned their due appreciation.

Truth be told, I never really liked James as a character.

Just the whole "Don't ever give up, Fox. Now, I'm going to go off and SUPPOSEDLY get killed by a man driven insane by the very government I'm working for, thus leaving you with no familiy, 80-someodd years of debt, and enough mortal enemies to fill the cast of a Shakespearian comedy. But remember: Don't give up. :D"

This story, however, almost completly changed that entire sentiment. The emotion and word usage was absolutly beautiful, and heartwarming beyond belief.

My only gripe is that Nintendo has not (and sadly probably will not) ever give there characters even half the depth that this contains.

I mean this with every ounce of my being when I say to you "Bravo".

This has got to be the best Hurt/Comfort/Family fic I have ever read. You, sir, have an eye to capture the deepest and most soul grasping material and put it into an exceptional combination of words. All I can say now is...
