AE chapter 1 . 8/26/2018 Love this fanfiction. It’s so real and true and raw. McGonagall’s spectacular and so are those poor, brainwashed Slytherins. One of my favorites. |
riverrat chapter 1 . 3/10/2014 Great one-shot from Minerva McGonagall's view. |
AvadaK3 chapter 1 . 6/5/2013 I know I have said this before but this is one of the most eerily beautiful pieces that I have ever read. It actually sends shivers down my spine and I always stop after reading it to just pause and think. It has brought me to tears more than once. I have read this piece a lot and I will read it again and it never fails to amaze me. The writing is amazing and just.. you are clearly better at words than I am but wow. |
MuggleCreator chapter 1 . 5/20/2013 Exactly. And it could not be stopped, at least, not for a long while. Perhaps the winds of change stir in the Epilogue, slightly, in Harry's words, but it will take time... |
Fat CAt chapter 1 . 9/10/2012 Aww, nice foreshadowing. Lovely little meditation. |
sammyfish chapter 1 . 4/25/2011 Chilling. Very chilling. And insightful too... |
Riley1993 chapter 1 . 12/23/2010 That. Was. Amazing! |
ncfan chapter 1 . 12/22/2010 Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You. Are. Brilliant. I say that because this coincides perfectly with my view of Slytherin: that they can't *all* be as bad as Harry and the Wizarding World at large seems to think they are. And you're right: the reason so many Slytherins went over to Voldemort is that they had nowhere else to go, that the Wizarding World wouldn't allow them to be functioning members of society, and Voldemort at least promised a place where they would be accepted, even if it was very dangerous. The Slytherins who didn't join Voldemort would have had a very hard time of it; my guess is their loyalties would have always been suspect. They would have been the ones pushed the hardest, the ones forced into fights with old classmates and friends just to prove their loyalties. It was a lose-lose situation if you were in Slytherin, no matter what path you took. |
Cassandra30 chapter 1 . 10/13/2010 Superb! |
damoon chapter 1 . 9/20/2009 This is such a brilliant piece of work. Just wonderful. |
forever and three more seconds chapter 1 . 7/24/2009 This is really great. I love how you've picked out characters no one would ever think of, especially since when you wrote this not all the books were out. McGonagall was well portrayed, and although I don't think that is the canon interpretation it worked really well. |
Chemistress chapter 1 . 3/25/2008 This is really an important line of thoughts you spinn out for us. I believe in the end most people were convinced that the sorting should be abandoned ... but of course it would have been much better coming to that conclusion a lot earlier. |
Princess Storm chapter 1 . 10/2/2007 really good story. Excellent, Brillant! But when Percy started at Hogwarts, Bill and Charlie would both have still been there. It's really a great story and really, really well written. I love how you added Draco in and made him seem like another Snape. Excellent! THe story fits really well in the what happens in DH. Great job! two thumbs! |
TwistedLilBarbie chapter 1 . 7/29/2007 That was...brilliant... |
broken.wings chapter 1 . 7/19/2005 This is one of the most emotional one-shots I've ever read. I just wanted to say that this is wonderful. |
