That's good for a first action scene! I like how Icha Icha saved Kakashi - just some adorable ANBU fluff _

I love that you've given the Icha Icha series more depth in relation to Kakashi's character. He doesn't have many constants in his life so it's nice to imagine that Jiraiya's work helped give Kakashi something to look forward to. I think one of the chapters I really enjoyed was the one where Kakashi tries smiling. It's so heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time.

Is quite interesting a perspective on Kakashi's obsession with Icha Icha.

So Kakashi's belief on porn and brothels instantly say that we wouldnt get along.

I believe porn novels based on fictional character is just indulging in fantasy. We all have had...certain... thoughts before.

But to act upon those impulses by going to a brothel. Despicible. Vile. Discusting. It shows that they are nothing but mindless animals not deserving to live.

So as u can see. Me and Kakashi wouldnt get along too well. I would probably kill him within a week.

I think this chapter continues the unusual take on Kakashi that has been developed throughout the story. This shows how young he actually was when he took on Team 7 - in the manga/anime (especially the anime) although he's only supposed to be about 26 or so, he seems to be older as it's all pretty much told from the viewpoint of the kids at the beginning, so he's just a teacher of indeterminate age.

I like Kakashi's inner belligerence in this. He always comes across as quite prim, polite and obedient with his superiors (unless he has something urgent to say) so it's nice to see a take on what might be going on beneath the façade!

On a side note, it seems to me that Kakashi appears younger and more expressive in Shipuuden than in the Naruto anime, but I think this could be a deliberate change given the slight shift in viewpoint (towards Kakashi's point of view) and the fact that Naruto & Sakura etc. probably see him differently now they have grown up a lot and are closer to him in terms of skill and ranking. Also, after he was killed and resurrected by Pain, he seems to me to have a lot more of a 'devil may care' attitude, particularly with how he disobeys an order (I can't remember from who) and recklessly leaves the Village to find Sasuke with Naruto after the attack.

That is all beside the point though!

I think your portrayal fits very well with the actual storyline, and shows just how lonely and sad Kakashi's life has been.

I liked your Gai very much. I think you got in enough of his intelligence to demonstrate that he has a brain, and that kakashi is aware of that. Well done :-)

This one was great too.

The bits of action you put on are well-done (much more interesting than laundry...!) although maybe you wimped out a bit by skipping the big action scene, perhaps...! Although I think it worked really well anyway, as its not hard to get too bogged down in lengthy action scenes, so on balance I think the action was about perfect for the purposes of the chapter :-) (I have trouble with action scenes myself and have yet to write a real one, so I'm not one to talk...!)

I love that Kakashi learned about human nature from his dogs! Aw!

This has to be one of the saddest things I've ever read. It's just so sweet and wistful, and there's a sense of an almost desperate longing in your depiction of Kakashi.

I absolutely love the way he just bought the book to look at it, for a glimpse of something he has never had. You portray Kakashi as so beguilingly innocent... its just wonderful!

This is sooo good. And beautiful. And possibly one of the best Fanfictions I've read so far!
