Interesting ... not completely original, but not overused either.

Pardon me, but didn't Jack actually KNOW about regeneration when he saw the Doctor again in 'Utopia'? I guess he might have learned about it in-between that time, though.

Not badly written, with some original and witty dialogue. Only problem is, you're mostly using dialogue, without much actual description. Dialogue, as I've learned, doesn't make a story. Try describing things more. I know we've seen the episode, but it's not a good excuse to pretend the description isn't there ... the story flows better when we get a clear idea of people's thoughts, of their environment, etc.
