This is freaking hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing for one entire minute when I remembered about the 1000 grunts beatups missions.

I liked the bit where Zack was helping to train the very grunts that were supposed to be looking for him. I always did wonder what ShinRa told them that they'd hunt down some of their own to be handed back to Hojo.

Yeah, it really was kind of hilarious and baffling how you kept getting assigned missions after you escaped Shinra's clutches, and Zack kept accepting them too! I enjoy your attempts to put it in a semi-credible setting. I really can see Zack being willing to take missions he thought would help people out even if he was on the run though.

"Smart of them to pin their anger on him instead of the late General Sephiroth." Interesting to think that the Crescent Unit might have deliberately targeted him more because they thought he'd be easier to take down than because they thought he was most responsible. Project P was eventually turned to hunting down Zack and Cloud? Well, ironic is certainly the word of the day there. I'm delighted though that Project P (Shelke?) just used it as an opportunity to help Zack and Cloud stay ahead of Shinra. I chortled over that drill sergeant's disparaging assessment of Kunsel and Luxiere. The otaku-ness of Luxiere was a little unnerving. I was dying over how they're just using Zack to train with when he's actually their top priority to track down and drag back to Shinra. He's seriously got a lot of nerve to walk into a situation like that.

The Department of Administrative Research is really slacking with fund appropriation. Those vacations always were diverting especially because I got the impression that Zack secretly liked beating up the monsters more than any other part of it. Parasol attack! Aww, it's good to was profoundly amusing, and considering what happened in the game, not too terribly far-fetched.

Is he... getting the company to pay him while he's 'escaping' them? That's sneakily brilliant. I'm on the run from you, but you're paying me. lol.

XD This is so freakin' epic! You my friend, have inspired yet another awesome plot bunny. -
Zack is playing with his PHS and finds an old mission that never got done that he'd volunteered to do and since it was in the town he and Cloud were in, he decides to do it! And thus sets of a series of events that not only garentees his and Cloud's survival, but the rise of a better Shinra.

Zack would continue doing these things that make him everyone's hero that he is, and most of the regular soldiers would just go with it, if the orders said they should work with him helping the training exercises and everything, since they like him so much... It does fit, even though the whole idea is absolutely utterly nonsensical and hilarious...
