| A Mistake chapter 1 . 11/9/2011 Little Integra is appropriately intelligent, with clues and signs that show us the leader that she would one day become, yet still overloaded with cuteness that she's giving me cavities. That was marvelous. I don't know how you managed writing kids, but I couldn't think of a better way to write Miss Hellsing at that age. The way they grew up as neighbours but end up growing differently as time passes was a heartbreak in twelve movements. It was mostly Greg's heartbreak, but I've never sympathised with a bystander character that much. It was mostly the effect of hindsight put to good use; Greg could see her, the pretty girl next door, and hope, but the reader knew what lay down that path in the future. Wonderful work (still pitying Greg at this point). |
