What a truly sweet, moving and heart touching story of two people who care a great deal for one another. Roy Desoto and John Gage really do have one of the best partnerships/ friendships two men can share. Both Dr. Early and Dixie seem to understand even if Drs. Brackett and Morten don't - there are things in life you don't do,, and separating Roy and Johnny is one of them; especially when one or both are injured and worried of the other one.

I absolutely loved how you made the reader guess which patient it was doing the thoughts ! And it was cool to be right in my guess...you gave it away with the idea of the cast being surprisingly heavy. Voice of experience with a cast on my own leg one, just like Johnny after he was hit by a car; once you've had a cast on and lived with it those 6 or 8 weeks, you never forget it. So, it had to be a right guess that Roy would worry over checking on Johnny FIRST as always. Father Hen never stops. I really enjoyed this story and the layout of it. It'd be GREAT to see this scene in a play or movie...I'd be laughing and crying at the same time - like I just did !
