This story has a darker feel than most of your others which I like, it feels like a cloud of despair has settled over this AU. The universe seems dark and dingy, it seems people have given up hope and they don't strive for anything. Even Padme seems content to just go through the motions of living. she has a boyfriend she doesn't really like, a job she's not happy in. She talks about going into politics to help others but it seems like an empty threat she has used many times with her boss. Padme wants to help but it like she doesn't know what to do or how to start because of her past 'failure'. After she gets a kick in the butt; her chance to redeem herself it's like she's a new person. A full person with hopes and dreams, even though Obi Wan always say her potential she was still a shadow until she saw and felt it herself(if that makes sense). It's great to see how Obi Wan still has hope and can see the potential in people. However, Obi Wan & Padme need each other to gain the strength and will to affect change. Just why couldn't you have added Qui Gon. (He could have been someone who was killed in a the Jedi purge, a guard or someone Obi Wan finds during his Jedi searches. Ok, ok I know Qui Gon is a sore spot for me but he gets a raw deal a lot and it never hurts to have extra Jedi around. Especially ones that are so big, strong, handsome, powerful, cuddly, wait where was I. Oh never mind)

Was the Emperor mad that Anakin didn't tell him his plan for dealing with the lowers? That Anakin was acting on his own or was it because of the plan itself? I got the idea that Bail was working only for the emperor and not Anakin. I hope that the reason that Anakin killed him is because Bail's conscious got the better of him and not because he outlived his usefulness. I think you killed Anakin off to easily, I would have liked to see a little more of a battle. I think the people of the Lowers needed to be the ones to defeat him. But I think Obi Wan and Anakin needed to have more of a fight that wasn't so one sided. Obi Wan learned how to use the force on his own so I think he would have been naturally stronger than Anakin and got a couple of hits passed his shields. Even though he doesn't have the training and discipline to use the force effectively. Anakin's training (also his use of dirty tricks) would have allowed him to gain the upper hand.

i luved this story. i was a little unsure at first whether to read it or not. but when i started, i had to finish it and it was worth it. good job.

you've outdone yourself again, fantastic AU!

Good epic feel to the end of this story and I really liked Anakin's end. I haven't seen Sin City, so I'm pure, so to speak, and can say that his evil was finished off in an appropriate fashion. He just seemed good as a villain on his own, with minimal inclusion of Palps in the story; that was a touch to make his death even better dramatically.

Glad that Anakin was killed.

Uh oh I sure hope Obi-Wan doesn't die, I do hope he's able to help and make a difference, but not at the expense of his life. Great chapter, I can't wait for more.

Aww, Obi-Wan and Padme together! Yay! Very romantic chapter. 3

A noble Obi-Wan is something to be feared. Good chappie and I liked their synergy as they worked out a fledgling plan to stop Anakin.

Your plot gets better and better and I liked the (perhaps unmeant) parallel with ROTS: if Anakin had come to his senses when Padme asked him to run away with him to safety, leaving everything behind. Obi-Wan shows sense in protecting his un-Force-able love as they two scamper off.

dun, dun, dun, and the showdown begins. i hope dex is ok. interested in seeing how obi-wan is gonna fight anakin!

Fine chappie and realistic touches with the beating - Obi-Wan comes across as someone who knows his place in the Lowers and it was a good point, that the Lowers are safest.

This is the Padme I like, strong and defiant. Obi-wan to the rescue! I hope.
