Reviews for Murphy's Law
EagleHasLanded chapter 9 . 9/22
Any chapter that quotes Airplane and Princess Bride in it is a good chapter! :)
pax-draconix chapter 2 . 9/21
Why do people find so many excuses for Draco. So he had trouble offing someone face to face. He had no issues making more distanced attempts throughout the year, or letting hardened killers into a school full of children. Sure he failed, but that was more incompetence rather than unwillingness.
Spidersauce chapter 1 . 9/21
. . . its brother gave you that scar." Harry swallowed hard.'
Uh . . . Is he faking his reactions that hard or is this one of those extremely emotional Harrys?
Spidersauce chapter 1 . 9/21
So despite Harry taking 30mins longer, he still arrives at Malkin's at same time as Draco.
Really hope this isn't one of those time travel stories that ignores the entire concept of the butterfly effect.
jh831 chapter 1 . 9/13
Awesome, harry has a cabby now lol.
Hope to see more of fleamont and mcgonagal.
Surprised harry hasnt told the goblins about the horcrox in the bank.
While im thinking about it, harry could dreal with the cup, ring and locket (he knows grimwald place) before hogwarts.
Looking forward to the next chapter.
LightningFlik chapter 4 . 9/11
'The interrogator nodded. "The Veritaserum is working. He's ready."'

Is it, though? I can't remember if this happens in canon or not but these questions don't establish that the Veritaserum is working. If Sirius was resisting the effects completely, he could still have given these answers.
LightningFlik chapter 1 . 9/10
I've just started reading this; I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not but I found it very enjoyable. I do have one nitpick though (I can let the egregious Americanisms in the dialogue slide, I think): a taxi from Harry's flat to King's Cross would not go via Stonehenge; it's two miles away.

Diagon Alley is accessed via the Leaky Cauldron which is on Charing Cross Road. The Hogwarts Express leaves from King's Cross Station. Both are in London.

But still, a good start otherwise and I'm excited to read more.
SomeGuyFawkes chapter 9 . 9/6
Good but what about Kreacher? According to the narrative, he's been stuffed in a sack for many months and now he doesn't even get to know that the locket is lacerated.

›› "Now imagine you or anyone else could access all of them, whenever they wanted, from any properly equipped location." Neville's jaw dropped. "That's the internet."
Not quite. In early 1993, you could access some big universities and research centers, but often only the card catalogs. There were a few BBS's as well. Most of the good stuff was hidden in "secured" classified systems or "walled" networks like Compuserve.
1993 was the year that the first really usable web browser (Mosaic) came online (if you knew where to get it). The number of web pages was measured in the dozens, not thousands.
Access was slow, even from big organizations, and almost painful for most people - who had to use dial-up modems.
The odds that Hermione knew ANY of this were slim.

Still, entertaining chapter. Thanks for the update.
levi.hall.9279 chapter 9 . 9/6
I got a laugh at the end of the chapter and how the castle changes so often; I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter
Scarecrow94 chapter 9 . 9/4

Scarecrow94 chapter 1 . 9/4
Thanks
jkarr chapter 9 . 9/3

lunadream13 chapter 1 . 8/30
great story.
MrLore chapter 8 . 8/23
Great story, I hope you'll be continuing it soon
SomeGuyFawkes chapter 1 . 8/21
(Start through chapter 8): I like this Harry. Only annoyances are (A) chunks of cut-and-paste from the books (but these diminish in the later chapters) and (B) that it may (still) be abandoned.
The plot's enjoyable and I see some good influences/parallels from Jbern and Nonjon.
