Phoenix animiagi stories tend to yield either a sufficiently overpowered Harry that it removes something from the story, or introduces inconsistencies where he seems to randomly forget that he is an animagus. Right now you list the forms as possible forms, a saving grace might be that he can only actualize one of them maybe, or perhaps one individual form and one soulbond form? Either way, I would tend to not include the baslisk or phoenix forms.

Other than that, I like the looks of this story. I'm disappointed that this, like so many Harry/Ginny soulbond stories is unfinished and abandoned. I hope you return to it.

You set it up such that if he unblocks the bond to Ginny and then goes back in time, the bond will go back as well. How will he deal with a soul bond as a 7 or 8 year old (assuming he goes back 10 years)? It seems like that might be very difficult to do. If you can pull it off without making it super weird for a mature Harry to be with a still un time-traveled Ginny at 8 years old, that could be an interesting twist.

Since you wanted an opinion, I'm thinking that the story can pick up when Harry already traveled to the past. Flashbacks can be used to indicate what happened in the future prior to Harry's departure.

As for the 'when' in time, I have no particular opinion. The most popular time is prior to Hogwarts' acceptance letter or 4th/5th year to deal with Voldemort. A rare time travel story had Harry at age of five. Which I thought was too young and required lots of OCs as most characters are too young at that time. Though Hermione almost always make an early appearance due to her intelligence and Harry conveniently attending her school/becoming her neighbor.

Hope my opinions help and hope to see more of this story in the future.

I think 10 years old would be great. Also I hope Harry becomes a bit of a rebel - Underage Driver Car/Motorbike, Travels, Muggle University Technology, Joins a Rock Band, Martial Arts, Athlete, Sticks it to authorities. Is it possible Harry could bond with a magical reptile and that he gets a gift to speak to all forms of magical reptiles eg. not just snakes but Dragons, because he loses the parcelmouth gift once the hocrux is destroyed.

I'd love it for Harry to go back in time, however since Ginny is his (Hinny forever!) Soulmate, wouldn't she be pulled back too? It'd be only appropriate if you took back both of them in time!

He should be 11 starting at Hogwarts. And I'm sorry life has been tough on you,I hope it improves

Wow, this story is very different from the typical cliche of time travel. I enjoyed your version and hope that you continue.

BTW, I'm unsure about your version of Dumbledore. He could be evil and/or misguided. So I look forward to the point where Harry can finally discover the truth. Also, curious about who created the marriage contracts to Harry. Was it Dumbledore? If so, I'm really curious on the reasoning behind those ideas.
