The boys are gonna have one hell of a hangover tomorrow, but I liked that it was just Kirk spilling his guts to McCoy who didn't care that was a drop out and a screwup and a former pothead. Just that Jim's his best friend and he wouldn't trade to for a swimming pool full of bourbon.

I really enjoyed this, particularly Kirk's characterization; it acknowledges the absurdity of his promotion but also justifies this. Bones is written just as well. Great job!

**few nitpicks: "graduated" is mispelled, "inexistant" should be non-existent and I think that one of the last lines is supposed to read "Joanna's coming to meet me. She loves you to death, and if anyone can charm your mother, it'll be me."

This was a great little story. I loved the pace and easy banter between Jim & McCoy. My favorite line: "because nothing in the universe, known or not, is allowed to be more interesting than he is." Somehow it captures Jim's mentality perfectly. Great job!
