Oh god, they have read Ender's Game. And decided that it was a great idea. Creepy and intriguing.

Interesting story. Any reason its title isn't "Rodney's Game"? Or would that be too obvious. It would be cool if the book "Ender's Game" actually exists in this universe and they're just using it as a playbook. Interesting story so far.

Um, pardon me for saying this, but why the hell don't you have more reviews on this? (I know they aren't an indicator of how good a story is (self-evident here), but still). This story is incredibly good.

I need to read this story over, and over, and over again. Would you mind if I saved it to a Word file so I could print it out and read it?

Someone seriously needs to rec this somewhere that gets a lot of traffic.

I loved Ender's Game when we read it in sixth grade, and I still love the idea of the really smart kids who save the world. When I started reading this, I thought, hmm this reminds me of something, and then I realized it was Ender's Game and SG1 and SGA, and thus, happiness. And then you had Rodney be all like (paraphrasing here) "I read Ender's Game, you know, do you WANT to end up committing xenocide because we listened to the adults?" And thus, more happiness.

There were more incredibly epic moments throughout the story, but I'm too lazy to go looking back through them.

Oh yeah, and O'Neill. More awesomeness, I completely loved him. And poor Woolsey, who keeps on sending out job applications, only to have them meticulously destroyed. And then he gets sent to a planet where everyone's under 24. He just can't win.

I don't think I can praise this story enough right now. I was reading with a grin of happiness on my face the whole time.

And I kind of (really) wish that you could make a sequel, because it would be epic, and awesome, and I would totally read it, and possibly even try to review each chapter as it went along (something I tried twice, but then it didn't work out because I don't really like leaving reviews, but you know what they say, third time's the charm). But, this was finished around two years ago, so I wouldn't be expecting anything, and also, I'm pretty sure it comes off as fairly obnoxious when people demand sequels, so yeah. Would be nice, but not expecting anything here.

And (as if it needed reiterating by now) this story is really good.

I'm supposed to be writing an neuro psychology assignment right now, but I can't leave without a quick note.

This was FABULOUS. I don't watch Stargate SG-1, but I didn't need to. It all made sense, and my god, the story you wove...amazing.

Only a few little things were confusing: The way Koylo (I think that's his name)and his kind could put their hands into someone's head seemed to jump out of no where and wasn't explained, but that could be a fandom basic that I don't know because I haven't watched the show.

Another was the way the different races weren't described, but they all implicitly seemed humanoid in form. That could be another you'd-know-it-if-you-watched-it thing, but it just seemed a bit strange to me that all the different species were human-like without any explanation.

Otherwise, absolutely awesome, and if there's a sequel, I'll be the first one to put a watch notice on it.

Okay, so I never leave reviews, but this time I just had to. This has to be the best story I've read so far here, and I've read quite a few!

I LOVED the fact that it was so long, it almost felt like reading a book, and you kept me on the edge of my seat up to the end.

I LOVED your depiction of the characters (I could actually hear them talking in my head as I was reading) and the fact that you did not try to stretch their relationships one way or another (although I'm am a huge shipper, I thought it was more realistic that way).

I LOVED your ability to ease the tension when things were getting intense (especially the part about the group hug with rodney complaining that someone is sitting on his foot, I thought that was brilliant!)

Anyway, if I tried to tell you everything I loved about your story, it would take forever, but I really hope your work will include writing, because such talent should not go to waste...

You used David in my very favorite way: a guy who is good and solid and uncomfortable with seeing change. Who really can't see his brother. Or his father. But who actually knows both better than the other, if that makes sense, in that he knows his dad would care if John died, while John doesn't get that. You also used him as a sounding board for how awesome everyone is, which is wonerful to see. Because the enthusiasm and chariasma and sheer personality of John that attracts so many people is something David doesn't get.

I think this might actually have been your best chapter, with Jeannie being a genius and tricking everyone and everything. It's great.
