Tears of Mercury chapter 1 . 10/29/2009
I love this too much to put into words. This is, in a nutshell, the sum of all my thoughts on Renesmee after the fail of the final book had sunk in. Character meta, fanfic, it's not important what you call it - you wrote it wonderfully.
Argentus chapter 1 . 9/18/2009
Hey, I’m here via twilight_sucks, and I am extremely impressed by this! I love how sparse this is, but it packs so much detail of this girl’s life. From the start, with her questioning eternity, it promises to be so much more engaging than what society—or in this case, the vampirism and imprinting—wants of her. It was great that you made Renesmee—oh, wait, Mary, rebel against her parents’ way of life without ever being an angsty brat(like her *mom* for instance) and it’s lovely how she does off-beat things like dye her hair red and go fishing with her Grandpa just because she can and wants to, not because it’s *meaningful* or *romantic*. My fave part was when she just decidedly told her mom “I’m going to see the world”. That’s that, no stopping her.

I think this is brilliant! I love the structure you used, and the simplicity of your sentences. You conveyed all the information you needed to get across without bulking it up with unnecessary details. It's similar, I think, to F. Scott Fitzgerald's way of writing: short, sweet, and to the point.
