I just finished this story and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. This story is so interesting and well written, I think I could have read it for years! There were so many twists and turns, and just like Death Note, it was really good at keeping you reading to find out what would happen next. Normally, L and Rem seem like a really bad ship that somebody came up with when trolling the chat with stupid ships lol, but this story makes it seem much more reasonable than any other Death Note ship and I feel like if they actually got to know each other, their personalities would go quite nicely together. This story was packed full of sex, but it still made room for lots of character development, amazing plot structues, a couple plot twists I really didn't expect, a backstory for my favorite character of all time, and was just overall entertaining as hell. I would definitely recommend this story to people, especially if you like Rem a lot! She wasn't touched on too much in Death Note and this story made me incredibly happy to see her have a much deeper personality and a past. The chapters are quite long, so it did take a while to completely finish it, but it was well worth it. I fangirled so much more than I want to admit, I just love Rem so much. I wish that one day I could write a story as interesting as this one.

Also, I love how true to the original story you were! It makes me almost believe this is canon to Death Note.

This story constantly makes me want to punch Misa. Like... She was a tiny bit annoying in the anime with Light and everything, but now she's hurting Rem and that's where you cross a line. I'm waiting for a moment where Misa realizes her mistakes and apologizes to Rem, and Rem is just like "Lol bitcc fucc off" and kills her.

But great chapter, as usual.

Oh god, Rem's life is so damn tragic... she never had a chance from the start... and that horrific scene at the end... aaaargh!

Wow, this chapter was a freaking TRIP. Frankly, it was adorable and heart-warming to see L finally fall deeply in love with Rem and even marry her, beautiful to see him slowly solve the mystery of the shinigami realm, and thrilling to see what happened to Rem "after death." I cannot wait for the conclusion!

Goddamn it, Ryuk! All the ways to deal with grief and you choose that?! Aaaaaargh!

Jesus though, what a TWIST. And just when I thought it would all end with a calm finale...!

I love that you gave Sachiko and Sayu some real characterization... you just made the tragedy of Light's family all the more deep. And although Ryuk is really just a troll, I felt almost bad for him this chapter...

God, I really love L and Rem's interaction. That would be a totally bizarre thought before this fic but... you've converted me into a shipper of this completely bizarre but strangely lovely couple. You just make them fit so damn well together... and it's lovely to have someone who accepts L for the weirdo he is, and who cares about Rem in turn.

Hahaha, you have turned me into a TOTAL pervert... I was hoping Rem would get in on the action, honestly!

I really like these chapters, honestly... it's great to finally have a breather and see how things are winding down at last. They have such a bitter-sweet tone to them, honestly...

Awww, L just keeps talking about Rem as his girlfriend!

And Light's last revenge on L- making him socialize with normal people! Nefarious indeed!

Oh my god, Rem defusing the whole gun stand-off by screaming she loves Matsuda was AMAZING! You seriously have the most crazy and wonderful easter-eggs stuffed all over your stories!

Also, it is SO like Light to pimp himself out in a last-minute attempt to save himself... and to play the prisoner's dilemma game with everyone else. Thank god it didn't win out!

It's strange but... I'm really rooting for L and Rem. I think with time, L could truly come to love Rem and hope for the best... and Rem really needs someone who will honestly care for her. I'm hoping these two crazy kids are together for a long time to come!
