I'm back and refreshed for another bout of angst and torture and depressing stories! Not really, but hey. : )

I love to read stories about Maedhros in/after Angband. And I haven't found that many of them. So I was glad to read this one. I thought perhaps Fingon was being a little harsh on his cousins, but it was certainly justified.

The one little bit of humor was nice.

"I wouldn't!"

I'll have to save that one, perhaps. : )

The sudden and unreasonable anger surprised him. “What you said was impossible,” he said, to the brother who had insisted that they could not risk a rescue, “Has been done. Have you a healer? Your brother needs one.” and this line, and several others.

I love this story, nevermind whether the eagle was in it or not. I think I like it better this way, actually. I just... love it.
