This is the BEST Star Trek fanfic I've ever read, hands down. I just stayed up until 2am to read the entire thing in one go.

I really loved the characterization of McCoy in this and, as with your other Star Trek fics, it made me really happy that you brought a lot in about the military aspect of things. That's the main thing that bothers me about most Start Trek stories - people forget that StarFleet is a military organization; the mission is peaceful but that doesn't mean that they don't prepare for war. Thank you for writing this so well. It was a lovely read.

I love the progression on this - the varied methods and the people he interacts with that teach him, and them, where he is and what his role and position are on Enterprise, not just as CMO either. A strong piece of writing.

Even today, a person can survive for hours, even days, on a circulator pump. Why couldn't he just leave Scotty on the circulator and go operate on Lisa? Good story by the way.
