The unfolding of the story really lets you see how much Sakura gave up for Sasuke. Her happiness is cast away and it's so sad and so cyclic in all she does for him takes away everything from her and ruins not only her happiness but all the others in Team 7.

As you read on, you wish it could be different, that it could be better but the undying love she's trapped in has her at its mercy and its so sad.

There are a lot of mixed reviews for the story, and even though I was kind of sad that it wasn't so much of Sasusaku as it was Narusaku, it's still a good read and I liked it a lot :)

I hate that and I love that at the same time...

This struck a cord because I too thought of what Sakura and Sasuke's life had been, after he went back from his "redemption". But I immediately dismissed it because even though there were areas of Naruto that didn't make sense to me, and Kishi had decisions about the characters that I do not agree with passionately, one thing that I know for sure is that Sakura is genuinely happy because of Sasuke; That her love for him has never wavered and stood the test of time; And that Sasuke has always loved her back in his own ways. But man, this one was too good it gave me dark thoughts for a moment there. Lol.

... wow that was depressing. I mean it was amazing and really good and oh so believable and all, but she gave up everything for him and he'll never know. That hurts, and it's not even out of that kind of love anymore...

I think this is the first time where I wish Sakura was with Naruto instead of Sasuke...
