NerdBurga chapter 1 . 12/24/2012
This was sooooo good. I can't believe how much I loved this. And it's written so well, the mood is just like in the movies. Well done! I hope you're keeping up the writing :D
harmonyhelms chapter 1 . 1/26/2011
Have I mentioned lately how much I love you? These were so fantastic! I think Insperation was my favorite, especially the end where Danny says "write small, I don't want to have to get naked again." Laughed my butt off, so funny! Thank you so much, you have made my day sooooo much better!
RoxasIsReal13 chapter 1 . 10/4/2010
Wonderful characterization~!
ParisAmy chapter 1 . 9/5/2009
I loved all of these! I couldn't choose a favourite.

Danny grimaced. “How hard could it be?”

“How hard was it?” Rusty asked with interest.

There was a pause, and hey both stared at the stream of water, now meandering into the hall. “Harder than I thought,” Danny admitted.- This made me smile and laugh :)

Also Danny telling Rusty: “Not on the table this time,”
InSilva chapter 1 . 9/3/2009
Welcome. As always.

Love what you've done with this fic. Balance and tolerance. Definitely. And nothing to do with tightrope walkers. :)

Perfectionist: see, this is a them trait but in different ways. And I love the picture of perfectionist!Rusty, mired in detail to the nth degree having to deal with perfectionist!Danny who is hung up on the one detail. The one detail that can make or break his alias.

Loving the "Danny said nothing. But he said it emphatically". And Rusty's memory of the elusive shirt that is never going to be lusive now. Going to be wet and soggy. And sigh for the pragmatic in Rusty. "Wear something else" and "Your shirt's gone" and neither is going to help. And Danny *could* wear another shirt but he'd always think he'd settled for second best. Smiling for the resolution. And thinking Rusty should buy all Danny's shirts so that he can know *exactly* where they came from.

Stubborn: ah. What you find when you look up the definition of Rusty. Rich Mulgrew, bluff and friendly and Rusty is going some to outdrink a "huge, bear-like man" but then I expect nothing less. Oh, can see the look Danny gives him. And the optimism is eternal but nearly always unwarranted. Man is a mule. Huh. Mongoose or mule?

Abstract: now, see, this is one of my favourite sections. Because I can see how it would happen. Danny can't control the mind and vision and I can see the little details building and building and different avenues unfolding and what ifs being pursued and imagined and all that just erupts in his brain. No say in the matter. Can't push the stopper back in the bottle. And the most he can do is not share it then and there. Love Rusty covering for him. Love the "show me". Kind of sorry a napkin was to hand. ;)

Obsessive: why it's never a good idea for Danny to go away. Can imagine the reasonableness with which Frank has tried to talk to Rusty, to persuade him to come out of the room and which has led to the underlined "Do not disturb" sign. Frank isn't Danny and Rusty can not listen to him in a way he cannot not listen to Dannynagging.

Can see the room. Dark and filtered light and quiet like a tomb with the paper and the drawings plastered everywhere. Sigh. Man is an idiot. Though giggling for the “This would be a lot easier if I had a really, really long pencil,” and not for any innuendo reasons. I sense the Rustyfrustration.

Danny overuling as only he can, as only Rusty allows and the whole stuck/stalled argument that is going to rage if neither of them are inspired.

Insouciant: another of my favourites, just because I can see Danny so very clearly. Giggling for the "-in what language?" and the " it was agreed that I should take on a more supervisory role". If Virgil can lead a mutiny in Mexico, am convinced Danny can win the support of men in Munich. And really, the supervisory role is one that fits him so well.

Craving: ow for the Rustypain even if he is getting over it and understand Danny not wanting to abandon. Smiling at Linus earnestly demanding answers and not going with the flow. Early Linus, I feel. And Linus pointing out the obvious and Danny ignoring. Because when your best friend wants a treat, you furnish the treat. And he can never say no to Rusty. Because he never wants to. Am willing to bet the egg foo yung, chocolates and cream cakes all arrived.

Untechnical: grinning wildly for this one. "Danny, sitting in the hallway outside their apartment, holding a staring contest with their front door". Such a funny image. And love the "You locked out?" in joke. The "I've broken our apartment" which reminds me of mtc. And Amie sounds like a date that is Rustydeserving. As opposed to slimy!Date from "Manners".

Showers. Water pressure. Spanner. Hammer. And smiling for the no doubt correct Rusty conclusion that only the hammer got to be employed before chaos reigned. Giggling for the deep look of suspicion at Rusty's question. And this is why they need each other. Because why do technical when your partner can? Have sympathy for the real owners, btw.

Inspiration: it can strike anytime, anywhere. Amusement for the "not on the table". Just for the idea that the table was effortlessly removed. They impersonated table inspectors no doubt.

Giggling for the “Have you got paper?” “Yes! Twelve questions!" - and of course, for the Ayn Rand. Turk and Virgil don't have a hope. And like the idea that this is Linus!revenge for a hundred different people that *he* has never heard of.

Danny indulging the need to document the inspiration and the sd is smiling broadly for the "I don't want to have to get naked again". No wonder that gets a reaction.

Irrepressible: sigh for the Chameleon echo. And the conversation where they are ostensibly talking themselves out of stupidity. A hundred and ten reasons why they shouldn't go back to the Lanzecki house - pain and worse, no point, facing Bobby and Saul's wrath, the weight of the world's opinion against them. And of course they will try. Danny doesn't even need to ask.

Lovely snapshotty piece of understanding and indulgence. They know what they live with and they don't ever try to change what they've got. Thanks.
FalconWings14 chapter 1 . 8/29/2009
Oh, I loved this so much, from the line about Danny saying nothing emphatically to the whole 'I think I broke the apartment' (that little exchange had me bent double over my laptop, cackling loudly enough for my mum to see what was going on, by the way). Have I mentioned your updates brighten up my life?
lelann37 chapter 1 . 8/29/2009

Danny grimaced. “How hard could it be?”

“How hard was it?” Rusty asked with interest.

There was a pause, and hey both stared at the stream of water, now meandering into the hall. “Harder than I thought,” Danny admitted.
