Dear NeroAnne, I'm not sure how to start (and hope this review won't be too long..), but let me first say THANK YOU for writing this wonderful fanfic and thank you for sharing it with everyone here. What drew me to your story was the concept of 'hate' turning into love. I've been watching WWE since last year only and although I knew about the name 'CM PUNK', I hadn't seen much of him, let alone Jeff Hardy. So after reading two chapters in one go, I did some research online to see what both men looked like, stuff that happened, history. Then I continued reading, I read and read and read and I loved every bit of this fic. Your writing is very clear and it just flows so smoothly, it makes you WANT to read without ever stopping. :D I loved the portrayal of the characters, even if I didn't know most of the names in the story, you really drew me into the story as a reader. The characters were interesting and likeable (except for Chris! Omg! What a smug nasty bastard!) and I just loved the story. Of course what happened to Jeff was horrible T-T but I'm so glad Punk was there. Some moments: I loved Jeff’s cupid moments, when Jeff complimented Phil’s olive eyes, when John left Jeff in the care of Legacy, when Jeff and Phil toppled over from laughing and end up on top of each other saying “I still hate you Hardy” “fuck you Punk” “no way”. But my heart broke about Jeff and Phil’s reaction after Jeff had another flashback and the abuse Jeff endured to keep his brother safe. The best part however was the ending. I was afraid it wasn't going to be like I wished it would be, I mean everything was great up to that point so I had very high expectations, but the ending was marvelous! The shyness, the murmurs, the soft whispers. Oh gosh. I loved it SO much, my heart did a happy dance! What I also really, really love is the fact that you kept some sort of 'focus' on Jeff's eyes throughout the fic, via Punk. That his eyes were teal when scared, emerald when happy, jade when sad. So your whole fic is one complete piece of utmost creativity, dedication and dare I say perfection. Maybe not everyone is going to agree, but I certainly feel it that way. Punk looked into those green eyes and saw all the shades and emotions there and he saw through the lies. It’s just so good. I’ve first read this fic maybe a month ago and since then I’ve read it at least 3 more times. Apart from the fic, there were your enthusiastic author’s notes that really put a smile on my face. You just came across as a very happy, friendly, funny person, which was nice to read even between the chapters! I hope that after nearly 6 years since publishing this story, you’re still open to receive reviews, although my review is quite incoherent and not constructive at all… but I had to leave you a review. Thanks to you, I had a wave of inspiration wash over me and I’m writing fics again. I don’t have time? Well, I’ll MAKE time! Afraid it’s not gonna be good? I’ll go for it ANYWAY! That’s how I feel now. And I’m writing JUNK! One long fic, one drabble and another idea scribbled down. This pairing has something extra special. Since reading your fanfic, I fell completely in love with this pairing and I have to say Jeff is a gorgeous man. Punk is also handsome as hell, but Jeff takes the cake. And they both have beautiful eyes! So anyway again, thank you so much for writing and sharing, and although it’s been ages since you published, I hope you will see this anyway and hope you are proud of your work! You kinda turned my fangirl world upside down! :D Thank you so much!
