This story is ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING. The metaphors were SO incredible, I really thought Narcissa's especially was extremely well done. The story was written, in a way, as if you were talking down to her which would be appropriate since she's the flower. Additionally, I also thought it was really interesing how you made it clear that Narcissa IS the "odd one out" because she's the only one who wholly complies with Pureblood society and doesn't ever "fall" as you said.
Also, I really loved the last little bit with Andromeda. My heart just cried. One would hope that after all they've both been through, Andromeda would show a bit of compassion, but the way you ended it made Narcissa feel more real because she realizes that she can't always have what she wants.
Anyways, this was SOOOOO INCREDIBLE!

Wow, my goodness, this must be one of the best one-shots I have ever read. The language was, well I can't think of a better word than exquisite. I was captivating and probably the first story I have read from Narcissa's point of view. I have wondered a lot about the Black name dying off as far as wizard families go. This is really fantastic and well-written :D I've always been interested in Narcissa since she is the "last one left" and I just love Black fics like these in general. I know the star metaphor for the Blacks is pretty over-used but I don't know...the way you used it and how you wrote it just made it so much more touching and poetic, in a way. Nice story :) Ive been hooked on Black stories for a while now. I recommend: I wanna be a kennedy: The black family tragedy by Doing 25 life in azkaban. If u havent already read it. It puts a different perspective on things :) I always thought that Narcissa was named after Narcissus the greek god (just a side note) but i really like the story :)
